You'd need to follow steps like this (some of which fleshed out at http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =84&t=7831).
  1. Upload the .bsp file to the server as you would in CS 1.6 / CS:S (putting it into the "csgo/maps" folder).
  2. Create a new map group using the gamemodes_server.txt file, and add your map to that group (you can edit this file on the Easy setup page).
  3. Also in gamemodes_server.txt, put your mapgroup into the mapgroupsMP section for the game mode/type you plan to run.
  4. Set the appropriate game mode/type and set up your server to start with your new mapgroup, also through the "Easy setup" page.
  5. Use the Websync page in your control panel to set up the map for fast download.
  6. Restart your server.

all of it I guess because it is not working. If you could go into my ftp and fix it then I can see what you did. then I'll have it and be able to do it myself.

I can't go into your FTP from the forums. Please let us know what step you are struggling with and we can help you with that.

For the amount of time your so-called "support" techs have been telling me they can not help me because it is not "feasible" They could have just fixed my issue as I asked. My clan has 2 vent and 4 game servers from you and you still refuse to help in a way my laymens mind can understand. Thanks for making my nfo experance so nice. I'm sure I can find a company that will help me.

I'm sorry you feel that way :/ We believe it is better to guide a customer instead of just doing it for them. We are still willing to help you but you need to communicate where you are stuck. If you are completely lost on every step, what is us doing it for you going to do?

For maps that do not have issues, it is as easy as uploading the contents of the map to the server in their respective folders (ie. maps, materials folders etc) and hitting the "syncfiles" button under the websync tab in the server control panel.

I find for some custom maps, uploading the .kv file (if applicable) causes the FastDL function to not work. So I have been excluding them in the upload and for the most part it works fine.

Some maps no matter what you do just do not seem to work like de_nuke_ve and personally for me I cannot get fy_deagle5 to work. Those have to be downloading manually for anyone wanting to play on a server with that map.

Now to add maps to a rotation is an entirely different matter, but if all you want to do is upload some maps and changelevel to them what I stated above should cover the jist of it.

Personally I do enjoy the "freedom" i get to customize and play around with the server settings to figure things out and how it all works. So cudos to the NFO staff.

And remember, as much as Valve likes to say CS:GO is a final released product, it is still very much in a buggy form. Dedicated Server included.

If you will read the posts from the begining you will see what I am stuck on. I really just can't phathom why you refuse to just go into my ftp and fix this issue so I can SEE how you did it and then I can do it myself. It is like buying a car going in for an oil change and the dealer throwing me a spanner and saying do it yourself. It is really starting to piss me off.

I have uploaded the map to the map folder. after that I am lost what part of that don't you get? For the 3rd time I am not an IT tech I'm just a gamer trying to enjoy a product that you sell, but you refuse to help me other than say go to the forums and post. Well so far the forums have been as big a waste of time as your support team.I'll admit I'm not smart with this ftp stuff and that is my fault. I pay good money for this and am getting sick of this. As I said before if you would have taking the time it takes you to tell me NO I WILL NOT HELP YOU. You could of just fixed my issues. Then you would of had a happy customer instead of one who will tell everyone I know not to use NFO. Very unhappy customer.

So it seems where you are getting lost is step 2;
Create a new map group using the gamemodes_server.txt file, and add your map to that group (you can edit this file on the Easy setup page).
Do you know how to use FTP or would you like me to walk you through it and get you connected?

CS:GO does some things differently (and in a more complicated way) than other games, and I would have preferred if Valve had not gone in the direction they did.

gamemodes_server.txt does not require the use of FTP, as it can be edited directly through the Easy setup page. If you've already uploaded the map, you need to define the custom group there and apply it to the game type that you are running. We have a KB article on this here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =84&t=7831.

If you give me the name of the custom map you uploaded, the other maps that you want in your cycle, and the game type you are running, I will attempt to generate a file for you that applies what you want and post it here.
