Mw3 Spike Lag

Currently Hosting a VDS 3 core for Modern Warfare 3.

Players are reporting a lag issue. it seems every 30s-1min there seems to be a skipping of the server. I thought it was because of the hardware. Went from dual core to tri-core. And there is still the same problem, a small skipping in the servers.

I tried only 2 servers instead of 6 I had running (1 half full, the other empty) on a 60$ VDS. And still the same minor lag skipping.

Ram usage 1.4 gb out of 3gb and CPU does not exceed 10% usage

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Hi,

Are these servers running via Wine? Are you running the MW3 addon?

I don't think so...Its a virtual private server so I guess I'm running inside one?

No Mw3 addons yet..
Running WAMP. and B3.

Try disabling Running WAMP. and B3 to see if that helps.

I did actually, it still skips.


Can't use the servers if it keeps doing this. Is my bandwidth shared by any chance? Seems like latency spike.

All bandwidth is ultimately shared but there is plenty to go around, depending on your location you would be on a 1GB port connected to a 1GB,10GB or dual 10GB line

What happens when the server skips? Does CPU usage or ram usage spike? Have you tried re-installing your MW3 server from scratch? Are you running anything abnormal on your MW3 server such as it being cracked..etc?
