Regardless of the type of webserver you are running, if you already have a virtual host (By this, I mean a folder that is pointed to when you enter a an address that is on an IP bound by the webserver), you can simply place the phpmyadmin folder that you extract from the zip they offer on their website and go directly to that folder. By default, phpMyAdmin will only work on localhost.
