ok - Having an issue connecting to a database.
To start, I am running 2 dayz servers. 1 Chernarus and 1 Lingor.
I can't use the same server for both databases because they both have to be named dayz. And since the maps are different and the spawn points are different, we need 2 databases.
So I tried installing WAMP on my VDS here, and am trying to connect from another server to the one on my VDS here, but it won't allow the connection.
Do I have to whitelist the ip somehow to allow the connection?
Like I would have to allow remoteSQL on web hosting?

Re: Connecting to database.
You will need to edit mysql to not bind to 127.0.0.1. Have it bind to your VDS's IP address.
I don't remember the specific config file WAMP uses or I'd have more info as to where it's located.

Re: Connecting to database.
Ok
Went through many of the cfg and conf files but nothing I could see.
the .conf files were all set to only 127.0.0.1 access, but changed it as it said to ALLOW all.
Also set it up as Put Online but that didn't work either.

Re: Connecting to database.
Didn't have to do anything.
I forgot when I setup a user for the database, I was using localhost.
Had to change this to allow access from my other server ip.
