Buyer looking for CS:GO server? Questions )

Post by Gonzo700 »

Hey there guys, i came across this site looking for a server to purchase and rent for time to come, but I do have a couple of questions since I'm all new to this server stuff. The biggest thing is i want to just start a server of my own for fun or for what other reason would any other person want to start one :p?
Ok so a couple questions:

Scripting.

I've noticed a lot of servers i personally play on have some cool gadgets and what not and i kind of want to implant those onto the server I will be purchasing.

1. Stats/Ranking.
I noticed that a few games have this ranking system when everybody joins they start off with a default of 1000 points and per kill they get 2 or what not. If i do open a server I would like to have access to that or atleast have it valid in the server. Also i noticed how when people inflict damage to one another it shows up at the end of the game or when they die, such as (Gonzo hit 4 times 56 damage) etc, i'm sure you guys probably have seen it. I mean those are little gadgets and what not so if its impossible then i can live without it all i want is to attract people aha.

2. Admin/mods.
Well i do have a couple questions about this I would greatly enjoy having some kind of Admin commands as running the server but for when i'm offline i would like to give some kind of power to friends of mine and i was wondering if thats even possible. I'm pretty much thinking about all of this stuff from a team fortress 2 server that i was apart of time ago, but I'm not looking for floating in air or god mode nothing like that. Just basic Mute Kick Ban Warn etc.

3. Maps/Game_Settings
When I will be running my server I plan to have about 24 playes and I want to focus on de_dust2 and office. I would also want to disable the awp and auto snipers for both teams and start them both off with kevlar and helmets. I would also want to have 20 rounds of gameplay per session at 5 minutes a piece. Also i want to have mic chat set to open for both teams but disabled when dead to alive players if possible.

Ok I know this sounds like a lot but if the guys on this website actually help me out and get all of this shit good and a-okay and everythings running smooth I would be more then glad to recommend this site to any friend in-need of a gaming server. For dealing with my crap would mean a lot, also not to sure on estimates (price) just PM me a price and i'll probably go through with it. Thanks a lot guys.

Spend a week or two @ sourcemod.net and you also can have a server like your favorite ones.

That sounds like a simple in-game ranking/damage plugin. If you order HLstatsX with your server the HLstatsX plugin will do the ranking and then you can use an SM plugin to display the damage after each kill or death.
2. Admin/mods.
Well i do have a couple questions about this I would greatly enjoy having some kind of Admin commands as running the server but for when i'm offline i would like to give some kind of power to friends of mine and i was wondering if thats even possible. Sourcemod would probably be your best bet, it will allow you to control several aspects of your server, assign admins and limit there power, not to mention the plugin support it also adds. You may consider looking at HLSW for when you are offline and would like to admin.
You can limit the maps that are played by only adding those two maps to your map cycle. You would need to get a plugin restrictor so you could limit the weapons in-game. Depending on the game you are referring to that can be achieved with a plugin, while in CSGO I believe there is a command to enable that. Just about the rest of those settings can all be set in your server.cfg file.
Ok I know this sounds like a lot but if the guys on this website actually help me out and get all of this shit good and a-okay and everythings running smooth I would be more then glad to recommend this site to any friend in-need of a gaming server. The best place to see an accurate price would be to check our order page;

Take a look and come back here with any questions you may have.

Personally I wouldn't be able to do that, however I am sure we can get things sorted out on the forums. Just ask any questions you may have and our community can help :)

Most plugins should come with a read me or instruction guide. Have you taken a look at those by chance?

Are you using the built in GG system for CSGO or a GG addon? Try typing sm_admin in to console and closing it to open the admin menu.

/admin and !admin from the chat work for the same thing as well, ! can issue any command but will be displayed publicly, / will make the command hidden.

I really do hate to sound like a noob but it seems to not let me access the admin page in-game, plus there's bots. And the map selected is deleted from the list i only have 2 maps set.

Steam ID is not your Steam Account Name (Despite what Valve says in their control panel) http://www.steamidfinder.com/ will help you find it mine is STEAM_0:0:67699
