NFO Should develop a gametracker-style site

You could do it so much better than those people. Their website has been malfunctioning for the past 24 hours(check sig, CS:S server has had people in it all day, badge says empty other than current players). They didn't even have backups of their database for crying out loud...

This is something we have talked about doing, but finding the time and people to do it would be hard.

The overall concept of what they are doing is actually very simple, but offering a place like they do where anyone can add there server, track it and post a banner on a forum is a different story.

Yeah I (kinda) understand the complexity of the back-end structure of it, would still be great for players to have a reliable server ranking website.

This is why I create and use my own server banners. Much easier then relying on a third party and being dependent on them. I dont really care about the ranking aspect, just being able to show the pertinent info needed about the server is good enough for me.

I agree. I didn't use my banner to see how I did compared to others (With a billion other servers, does anything really matter in the top XXX?) I mostly used it as information. Here's how many online, here's how to connect. Oh, and here's a pretty blue color to make it not ugly.
