Nameservers for GoDaddy

Post by draastik »

Maybe I'm just forgetting something, or maybe I've done it correctly, just refresh my memory.

I purchased a domain from godaddy, as well as a server from here. name of the site is beerandstuff.com. I remember when I had a server before, I had to forward the nameservers. I think I did it correctly, I just need a refresher.

I forwarded the nameservers from NFO, to godaddy, so this way my www.beerandstuff.com website will point to NFO servers? Or am I doing it backwards?

I just need a yes or no answer on this one.

Now what you need to do is go to the "domains" tab in your webhosting control panel and in the box that says "add a domain" enter that domain and click on submit.

This will add the domain to the webhosting services here.

Perfect, I knew I was missing a step. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the nameservers to go through on godaddys side?

When I checked that domain it seemed the nameservers were already set properly. You should be set to add it right now.

not sure if it was or not. GoDaddy give you a generic webpage with a background (in my case, horseshoes). It said it takes a minimum of 2 hours for the NameServer transfer. Unless it went through very recently, it's still on godaddys (server)

Have you tried adding it, though?

I have, I just checked, everything went through perfectly. It didn't before I last posted. Everything is fine now.

Just gotta either learn to code or find a decent WP theme..
