Ok I have had this server running with the freezetag mod for 2 weeks now with no issues until today.
I run custom maps. our clan wanted to do some christmas maps so I had a bit of trouble with some and had to remove them, usual stuff as some maps dont like the ft mod. So I ended up with 9 maps that worked successfully but usually I have 13 maps in rotation so today I added some more and thats when the server crashed completely and would not restart, I reverted back to the original xmas line up of 9 maps that worked, wouldnt restart, I then tried to revert back to the last rotation before that had no probelms and still nothing. in the meantime I was working with the support team to resolve this as well and they put it back to no mod and it restarted fine, ok then I asked if I removed all maps that I thought were bad (and I removed all the maps I have uploaded since before the problems occured) and restarted and then switched to the freezetag mod again would it be ok they thought so but it would not restart. I need help

It sounds like the freezetag mod is your biggest issue from what you said sometimes the maps worked and sometimes they didn't. The only changing variable there was the freezetag mod. Have you confirmed that all of the maps worked fine without the mod running?
Have you also confirmed you are running the latest version of the mod and that it is installed correctly?
Lastly check your server log files and see if there is any indication as to why the server is crashing.

I have already removed all maps from the ftp that could have caused a problem so no way to test them and the rotation I tried to use again was working fine for 7 days with no issues.
As for the maps, not all cod4 maps will work with the freezetag mod.
Again the server and mod had been running great for 2 weeks until today
How long it has been running doesn't factor in to why it suddenly wont work, unfortunately :/
Game Servers can be very complicated and the slightest error, or change can cause them to freak out.
What you should do now is a rebuild. Start with a stock COD4 server. This can be as simple as running the server with no mod and on a stock map. Once that is done and confirmed it is working proceed to add the mod and one map that will work with it, Confirm it is working then move add another map and so on.
Keeping track of everything you add/change will allow you to quickly and efficiently identify a problem and fix it.

Thats the problem though the support team turned it back to no mod was working fine until i tried to put the ft mod back on, wouldnt load at all and had to switch it back to no mod again, they have also restored me back to the 16th.
Either way Im screwed as Im not a coder or a modder just a humble woman trying to keep a server going that people grew to love
got it figured out, someone hacked our config file and messed some things up to make the mod crash
i wish i could find out who but i dont know how to do that but have since gotten advice from friends on how to better protect files
anyways we are back in business ty for taking time to try to help kraze -merry xmas
