I bought the 4-core plan to run a Minecraft server. Since Minecraft is mostly single-core and I don't really run anything else on my VPS, I've been thinking about downgrading to the 3-core plan and getting an extra gig of RAM. I'd end up paying the same price, but I'll be giving up a core I don't need and getting more RAM which I do need. The question is: will I have the same speed per-core or are virtual cores capped according to which plan you buy?
Unlike most host that shares CPU resources between a VDS, NFO gives you dedicated HT cores. This gives you a better idea of what you VDS can handle load-wise, and you can benefit from the performance of your own personal HT cores. I don't like to share my sammich, let alone CPU!
