I have tried everything to get this to work on NFO VDS. This program works on a different host VDS just fine. There is some sort of setting that is blocking this program from downloading.
Amazon Downloader for Arma2 + Expansions. It is a program Amazon uses to manage a download to your computer. It works fine on my PC, and a different hosts VDS but not on my NFO VDS. It is being blocked by either a windows setting or something firewall/port related. I have gone through all the forums, talked with someone on IRC and Called amazon. It is not an Amazon program issue.
If this goes unresolved I will have 2 options, Re purchase ARMA through steam or cancel my trial for my VDS. I cant justify paying $80+ and having to buy a new copy of a game that I know downloads fine on other machines/VDS.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.
Edit: Firewall is off, and all compatibility options exhausted.
VDS SERVER Issue.

I've never used the Amazon Downloader myself. At what point in the process does it fail? What exact error message does it give you? Does it post anything to the system log?

Re: VDS SERVER Issue.
I run the file, and "An Unknown Error has Occured""Click OK to return to your games library"
Then it close and opens up amazon. I cant seem to find any logs for it anywhere.

Re: VDS SERVER Issue.
That's not a very useful error, unfortunately.
Have you tried turning off DEP? Some broken software requires that it be disabled.
Do you have all of the .NET versions and MSVC redistributables installed? It may require one of these without telling you.
It also might be useful to watch what the application is doing in Process Monitor, as that will show what it is trying to do in more detail.

Not sure if your looking to install Dayz, but
Are you trying to download the server files from Amazon from links provided by dayzmod?
Also, not sure the requirements for the Amazon loader, but does it require .Net to be installed?

Only requirements I can find: for Windows XP/Vista/7, 3.0MB
Not sure is windows 2008 or what ever server version your using would have any issues with the requirements.
