Fast Download

Post by Dan2313g »

I've been running my own Garry's Mod server for a long time and recently decided to purchase a lite web hosting package for FTP use. I've uploaded a Garrysmod folder which i've included only a maps folder so far. All folders are properly named and the maps are in the server's maps folder and uploaded to my garrysmod folder here via filezilla. Excuse me if I have elaborated too long, but i'm not sure if any of this eliminates possible errors. I also included the fastfile url in my server.cfg.

sv_downloadurl "http://dcsserver.site.nfoservers.com/"

I have set up the garrysmod folder in my root directory. I also went to "Domains" in the control panel to configure my site to open the garrysmod folder when the above url is entered. The maps are NOT being downloaded by my clients and I get the "You don't have this map - Disconnecting" implying that I have done something wrong.

Similar posts refer to an option that is not available - Websync. I assume this comes with the purchase of a garrysmod server. Can anyone point me in the right direction? THANKS A BILLION in advance!

You have it set up one extra directory back. It doesn't need to be Garrysmod > ..etc.

Changing your download URL to http://dcsserver.site.nfoservers.com/garrysmod/ should fix it up. Also if you are using a normal game server or managed VDS from us you can go to the websync tab in your control panel and let our automatic system handle all of it for you.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!
