VPS password reset.

My VPS got it's password changed and I'm not sure how.. Is there anyway I can reset it? I already contacted support through a ticket and it was not much help.

What OS are you running? If it's Windows, we have a guide here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =46&t=4615. If it's Linux, we have a general guide here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =46&t=5792, but the exact procedure varies from distro to distro.

I'm using linux and support told me to use that method but it was no help... I'm using CentOs 6.3

Googling this, I find sites like http://ithelpblog.com/os/linux/redhat/c ... -centos-6/ and http://passionfordata.blogspot.com/2012 ... os-63.html that describe very similar procedures. Have you tried these slightly-tweaked versions?

Every distribution of Linux is slightly different, but it generally comes down to booting in single-user mode, or using a boot disk.
