VDS - Windows Server 2008 R2 Random Shutdowns

Post by samt2497 »

Hi if someone can help me here thanks, this is my problem.

The VDS suddenly Hangs and reboots without reason, i checked windows update and its sheduled every monday. The VDS shutdowns about 2 times or more per day.

Event Viewer output:
6008 - The previous system shutdown at 9:15:03 AM on ?1/?23/?2013 was unexpected.
1001 - The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff800019c1a71, 0xfffff88007214c50, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 012313-34679-01.
41 - The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I have not seen this before.

How new is this VDS? What are you running on it? Does this happen even when nothing is running?

Are you performing large file transfers? Old versions of the Xen drivers struggled with these and caused the machine to crash. Please let me know what it lists as the driver version of the network adapter.

That is an old version of the driver that has the bug. Please contact us through a support request and we can provide a private link to a newer version of the driver that will likely fix this for you.
