It is too early to tell if Windows Server 2012 hinders game servers(SRCDS) performance or not.
We are currently using Windows 2008 Enterprise R2 and are thinking of swapping.

If you guys run CS:S mainly then Linux is the OS of choice.
If I didn't run any windows games then I'd take Linux any days.

I've played with 2012 and I actually prefer 2008 R2. I don't plan on switching anything of mine, or my employers enviroment to 2012.

Not so much with Windows 2012 since it's so new.
Either way I think Windows 2008 R2 is nice.

I prefer Windows 2008 R2 myself, due to its interface, but 2008 R2 and 2012 should be very similar in terms of game server performance.
