stats.pl query

Post by ThirdEye »

I like integrating the stats.pl query onto my website, and the general layout, but the question is... how can I get my other affiliated servers to use the same stats.pl? They do not use NF (poor them) but would like to install the same compatible stats.pl script on their server.

Is this a downloadable script, or an NF built script?

This script is only for NFo hosted servers, its a feature we give you.

If you want to do something similar for other servers, you are going to have to host it yourself, and write the code yourself.

There is a such module for PHP Nuke, perhaps you can rewrite that code.

HL Servers module for PHP-Nuke is the name ;)

That stats.pl is so nice that i dont expect John to release the code so our competitors will can use it. Its one of the many perks you get when you rent from NFo.

well darnit. It was such a nicely simple query, that I just wanted to distribute it.

Our stats.pl script is so tightly integrated with our systems that it would be difficult to even offer separately. Everything is tied into the database, and it uses a shared module that all of our other query scripts use (a custom-made module I wrote that supports all game types we offer).

If you need a standalone querying script, you might try psychoquery (http://www.psychostats.com/pquery.php). It's a bit more complicated to use and install, but very customizable and a nice package overall.

I remember way back when I tried to install pquery and managed to mess it up somehow and it inadvertanly ate up all the resources on the NFo web server every time you queryed it.
