MySQL setup

I recently got an unmanged VDS to run Clockwork script on, and I have no idea what I'm doing really. I need to set up mySQL, (Which I have no idea how to do.) And then link that to Clockwork. I know how to link it, but I need to set up the mySQL first. If someone could post a step by step on how to do that, I would be very, very, VERY, appreciative.

Depending on what OS you run, sometimes MySQL may already be installed.

Windows or linux?

If windows, check out xampp ( http://www.apachefriends.org/download.p ... taller.exe ). This will install mysql/apache/php and set up phpmyadmin for database administration.
