Hello guys, I'm new to how NFO Servers does its setup.
I'm used to being given an FTP host name and connecting to it with my username root and password.
Is there any way to access my Linux VPS through FileZilla or do I have to use WinSCP?
Thanks!
Also, I did check out this thread: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =46&t=4268
I don't know how to create a file through SSH..

If this is a Linux VDS, the KB article has a good point that using SFTP is usually best. Using an SFTP client is much like using Windows explorer, and you can just drag-and-drop files over to the server.
If it's Windows, it's usually easiest to use the desktop directly, but you could also set up an FTP service.

But that didn't answer my question ..Edge100x wrote:If this is a Linux VDS, the KB article has a good point that using SFTP is usually best. Using an SFTP client is much like using Windows explorer, and you can just drag-and-drop files over to the server.

Do you just mean this?
If so, the KB article you quoted says specifically that FileZilla can be used. It is accurate. FileZilla has this option. WinSCP is based on FileZilla, and also has the option. Is there any way to access my Linux VPS through FileZilla or do I have to use WinSCP?

Sorry it was an issue before. My password and root did not work for some reason (after multiple reboots and password changes.)Edge100x wrote:Do you just mean this?

Had to manually change the password and now the FTP client works.
Thank you.
