It would be nice to see Linux only unmanaged vds with the option to get more ram & cores.

Others have asked for this, as well (I believe there's a duplicate topic on this board).
We are able to meet the special price point of the lowest configuration right now primarily because it does not have these options; as a result, we can fit servers into the gaps onto many more machines, saving us money. We also restrict the OS, but this is not as important in the price.
It is unlikely that we'll change this in the near future.
