Installing Forum

Post by Bromine »

I transferred my domain from my old host earlier today successfully. Usually in order to install a forum or something of that nature I would go to incentivegaming.com/xenforo/install/install.php. I keep getting 404 Not Found and I am struggling to figure out why..

Are you certain that you uploaded the files to the correct place, and that the Domain page points to the right folder? For instance, if you're using default settings, then the file you are trying to access would need to be at public/xenforo/install/install.php, within your FTP.

It's in the correct place. When I created my account it gave me a website called like "username.site.nfoservers.com" but since I wanted to use my domain I deleted that one, are the files I'm uploading going to that one?

Different domains that you use don't use different file locations unless you specifically point the domains to different subfolders. Otherwise, all domains look for files in the same location.
