cant delete metamod

ive been trying to ftp to my server then shuting it down and deleting adim mod and metamod but it only lets me delete adimmod not metamod.
It gives me a error message when trying to delete it. What can i do to delete it...

Also what can i do with hlguard?

Metamod is loaded on all servers and can't be removed. Is there a particular reason you have for wishing to remove it?

HLGuard is primarily invisible to the administrator, checking players in the background when they are on the server.

well theres nothing in my metamod folder there no way to delete it?

You should actually have a dll file in there, it's just not visible because of the way we do FTP.

It allows mods such as hlguard and admin mod to be run on the server.

Metamod is like the a Nintentdo of HLDS...
admind mod, statsme, amx mod, hlgaurd... those are like games you plugin into your nintendo.
If you have no games the nintendo is doing nothing, but you might as well keep it around if you ever want to play.
