DDoS Attack and Protection

Post by Snow »

I just wanted to know what level of protection my VPS has? Its just a linux single core.

I had issues before with people hitting my server offline that's why I moved here because I have heard great things. So far its amazing and I didn't even notice when my server was attacked yesterday.

Just about every host has some type of DDoS protection. However, it is how much protection and how far each host is willing to go to mitigate the attack.

NFO is not a DDoS host by any means but we do offer some protection here for our customers.

If you are planning on being hit with a lot of large attacks or ones that have an extremely high packet rate, you should consider a DDoS mitigation specialist host.

While we do our very best to block and mitigate attacks we make no promises of uptime or stability for victims of attacks. Being attacked also waives our SLA

We also go indepth on how we handle DDoS more on our forums here:

If you contact us through the "Help" page in the control panel, we can look up the reason for you.
