Webhosting SSH

Post by Rillz »

I'm trying to setup password-less ssh for our website to automate a banning script I made. For some reason I can't seem to get the keys to work. I had this working on previous servers.

I generated new keys, set up my clients (I tried two just to make sure I wasn't messing something up. one linux one windows) and put the public key into the .ssh/authorized_keys file but for some reason it's just not working.

On linux, which is our vds, it doesn't give any errors just asks for a password.
On windows, which is my pc, using putty it says the server refused the keys.

Is there something different between the webservers?
My previous setup was on hosted.nfoservers.com and this new one is on hosted15.nfoservers.com
I'm doing everything the exact same, but for some reason it's not working, so I'm wondering if it's a server issue.

Thanks in advance

If you open a support request, I can check the logs, but it should work if done correctly.

I originally opened one, but Siren told me to come here.

Directing you here was probably the correct thing to do, but since John wants to check the logs manually for errors you can reply to that request linking us to this thread and we'll get it over to John.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!
