System configuration

Post by gauravsaini964 »

Hello,
I am hosting servers in India .I am facing problem of Fps drop on servers hosted on my system.
Problem sounds strange to me as the system I am using is having very good configuration

Spec
Processor- 24 Core 3Ghz Intel Xeon Processor
Ram- 64 Gb
Network - 1 GB
OS- Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise

My CPU usage shows above 90% on all cores still I am not getting stable fps.
Tried all booster plugins and all ,didn't worked.
I am currently hosting 70 Servers on this machine.
Windows and machine settings are default and untouched
Please help me out to setup my system properly.
Its been very hard on me .

Sorry for bad English

We can't help much with servers hosted elsewhere, but you are clearly having a problem with CPU usage, if you're operating the machine with 90%+ CPU usage. There aren't 12-core processors yet, which means that you must actually have two 6-core processors with hyperthreading. Beyond 50%, Windows is having to schedule multiple threads onto the same physical cores, and that's not good news.

You should do your best to reduce your CPU usage to 50%.

Thanks for the reply .
I got the thing you just told me but I am asking for a favour .
Just any other steps might be there to run server smoothly .Please tell me that .
Assuming I have no CPU problem ,how should I configure my system to achieve max stable fps[1024 max to max].

Our performance guide and KB articles can help you when it comes to performance questions. There are a lot of factors to consider and what you need to do depends greatly on the game.

You should also consider posting in a forum that's not affiliated with a specific company. We have limited time and have to focus our energies here on assisting our own customers, and most other companies will likely do the same.

Where I'll be finding those ?? and

I was going through your post ,found some interesting things you use on your servers.
If possible please share your FPS lockers ,ping boosters etc with me.

According to my information ,NFO is not hosting in India ,therefore you will not face any competitive problems neither we can compete with you .

Term which I came across and didn't understand was HPET. Please tell me how to enable it.

Please help me out bro ,facing huge loss due to this issue .
