Automatic Login Not Working

I used the auto-installer yesterday to install a PhPBB forum onto my webhost. I then setup a theme and added 3 or some topics. Then I tried using the persistent login feature and this did not work. I do have cookies enabled and persistent logins do work for me on other forums. This is mostly a default forum so I'm not sure what the problem is here.

I figured that I could go to the PhPBB forums and ask there as well, and they gave me the solution.

This is what i did when i used PHpBB3 - This method worked and users were able to stay logged in.

Sign into you`re ACP control panel
Select the general tab ontop left
then scroll down to you`re left pane and click Cookie settings.

So for example my board URL is http://www.Nomercykillers.com
I would manually type this in.Delete what you have there already as default.

Cookie domain: .nomercykillers.com (Make sure there is a dot in front and dont put www infront)
Cookie name: nomercy (Called it anything)

Hit submit

You should be able to stay logged in after that.
