Managed or unmanaged?
What is the CPU/ram usage like?

It must be unmanaged to run both at once (we don't support Minecraft on Windows).
Are you seeing a lot of disk usage? Both games might write to disk frequently; I recommend running at least the Minecraft server off of SSD space.

its a unmanaged vds box. and the cpu that is used when i have 25 people in it is about 56% and the ram i have about 350mb left.soja wrote:Managed or unmanaged?

yeah the disk usage is going crazy alot, i have turned off minecraft to see if that would help but it did nothing. would it run better if i got a ssd for arma 3 ? and the network goes crazy to, when being up to 25 people we get the red chain, and i want to have around 60 players in a server but cant.Edge100x wrote:It must be unmanaged to run both at once (we don't support Minecraft on Windows).

Re: Having problems with my vds
It might be a good idea to move it to an SSD (you should only need a 15 GB one or so if it's just for ArmA3).
If you have 350 MB of memory available, you also could be low on that. How much is your ArmA3 process using?

You might want to read this thread for Arma 2 server.
Same idea. You might just need to do some tweaking of the basic.cfg

Re: Having problems with my vds
yeah i might try that out. but would the network have something to do with it, cuz more people that come in the more lag it gets, and when i watch the logs the network is like at full to, like its not sending out enough and then start to dsyn cuz it cant keep up. and i have tried with the minecraft off and still does it all the same,Edge100x wrote:It might be a good idea to move it to an SSD (you should only need a 15 GB one or so if it's just for ArmA3).

and i do watch the log in arma so to how its going and the arma server with 20 people now get about 7 to 11 fps witch its es post to be getting 50 fps.

would you happen to have the link cuz i could not find it. thanks

56% is almost 2 full cores used. Is this just with arma running? What kind of CPU cores is your vds on?

i just want this to be stable, like if i have the server running all night the next day its bad in frames even if there only 7 people in it.
Re: Having problems with my vds
VDS's at NFO are all connected at gigabit, and I doubt that is ever reached, but I suppose if you open a ticket support may be able to check the network status for you.
My guess is the memory, if it is lagging with only 7 people in it, you might be running into issues of arma 3 using pagefile memory.

Re: Having problems with my vds
okay so i just upgraded my package to 4 cores, and added 15 SSD, now im running it and its doing the same and im using less everything. like my cpu is around 34% now, memory im using 1813mb and the Disk i upgraded to. it kinda fills like the arma server doesn't know what to use, is there a way to manage that?
