After talking with admins of my servers we've decided to move back to Windows from Debian. I just did a fresh install of Windows Server 2008 R2 and connection to the VDS via remote desktop is somewhat sluggish compared to what it was originally. I thought this was maybe on my end but visiting google, which make use of your location, redirects me to google.com.br? Same with google.com/chrome when I go to download it.
Any ideas?

The location given on the "Description" page of the control panel is correct. The Google guess does not always (or even usually) match.
Google seems to base its guess on what other users from the IP block have been doing; in this case, other customers at your location must have been visiting the Brazilian version of its webpage.
If you believe you're seeing high latencies or packet loss between your client and the service -- routing issues -- please contact us directly through the "Help!" page in the control panel and send us MTR output.
