hardware id issue

Post by protte »

im having problems to use some programs in my virtual machine, the problem is every time i restart the machine it changes the hardware id.. the question is how to configure the machine to have a static hardware and make sure it gives me every time the same harddrive serial, process name and chipset name.

What is it you're running that is checking for hardware IDs?
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

The hardware remains the same each time you run the VDS. You should ask your application vendor about this, as they have a bug in their software.
