Can I do this?

Alright well I don't have the VPS/ Dedicated server yet, but planning on buying on my next paycheck... I've been building a DarkRP server from the beginning files, all up to date on my localhost. I was wondering if I could transfer the whole thing over to the Dedicated server and activate FastDL and have it auto do it?

I'm thinking of going for the Managed type, as I'm not very good with files, so I want as much support and ease of mind as possible.


The total server file is just under 6GB, and since it says 300GB of RAID Protected storage, I figured this would definitely be efficent. Would I be able to quick transfer it using FTP and then just check the FastDL button?


If this is possible, let me know. If not, then I will need help setting up FastDL as I'm lucky my server is working as well as it is.

And I do have a domain name and webhosting, if that is required. Because I remember on Gameserver options, it had a FastDL option since I had webhosting.


Thanks everyone at NFO and everyone else, hope I get this working! And once I do, you are all invited to the server. I plan on buying the 3 Core (3 GB of RAM) option and buying 1 exta GB of RAM for comfort, and hosting 2 servers or 3 or so on it.

DarkRP will be biggest I think, with about 36 slots or so.

In your case it sounds like a standard game server from us would be your best bet. This will give you a pre-configured server with FTP access. Simple drag and drop your custom files over and do fresh installs of any addons and you should be set.

fastdl is also included with any game server purchase and can be triggered via the websync tab in your control panel.

Alright, I was planning on hosting two servers on the VPS but if you recommend the gameserver option I'll go with that.
