Minecraft Server/Panel crash.

Post by HotNachos »

Can someone help me with this huge issue before I contact support.

Was playing on my Minecraft server. Free trial with payment ready to buy a server. We were just building spawn then boom Server crash/disconnect message. I try to access my nfo server control panel and it loaded up but when I navigate to server control tab it will not load or take forever.
When it does let me in server control, i restart server but Minecraft wont find it but console is telling me its up.
I then try my FTP access and now it wont connect via my FTP. Its giving me
Connecting to (IP)
Connection timed out
Could not connect to server

But again the nfo panel server console is up and running...

Help please

Internap continues to restrict us to a small number of providers in Chicago, limiting performance and making us much more vulnerable to attacks at this location. Another such attack, at approximately 8:40pm CDT, was large enough to cause packet loss and our system immediately (within 10 seconds) null-routed the target IP address. However, Cogent (one of the providers that we are restricted to using) did not accept our null-route instruction and continued to send Internap the attack traffic, leading to continued packet loss for at least 10 more minutes. This, in turn, caused mass player disconnections and significant performance problems. The flood of customers checking their control panel, and general slowdowns due to the system being unable to contact servers, also caused our webserver to freeze up, and recovering from the webserver issue took about 45 minutes.

We've stressed to Internap again that they need to give us some way to null-route IP addresses and have the null take effect immediately. They are working to find a way to do this. They are still working on critical upgrades in Chicago, as well (they tell us this will take weeks), and we have asked for an upgrade of our own connection to them (to 30 Gbps) as part of that.

We will continue to stay on top of attacks. Once null-routes work properly, we expect for only the customers who are being targeted to be effected by them.

Thank-you doulos9 for helping me understand and calming my rage over NFO.
Problem has been solved by the NFO team somehow. It was just something to do with there Chicago server hub. :)
