Trying to get TS3 domain records correct

Post by SGTGunner »

Greetings,

I am having a hard time getting the correct DNS records setup in the domains control panel page.
Here are the steps that I have done.

1. Gone into the domain tab and created the following records (removed domain names for obvious reaons :) ):
1a. In domain foo.com, created an A record of subdomain ts, type of A and target of an ip address (I know, no port).
1b. Created a SRV record which has a subdomain of _ts3._udp (want it referenced in the top level domain and not sub) and type SRV, then the target is ts.foo.com:11140 (again changing the port - not the actual one)

Is that all I need to do?

Thanks in Advance.

Cheers!

Yes, those steps look correct. If you'd like, you can submit a request to us through the Help! tab of your control panel, or with an email to support@nfoservers.com and we can take a look at your control panel for you. Also, it can take a bit of time for DNS information to propagate through the various DNS servers.

I recommend using Google's DNS for your personal connection, for which the IPs are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, as they generally update very quickly.

Thanks for the response. Well, I fixed it. Simply removing the records and recreating them fixed the problem.

Cheers!
