Hi folks,
I have set up my domain to use outlook.com mail system using custom domains. Changing domain names for obvious reasons.
In NFOServers domain tab:
I created an MX record under foo.com which has an MX server of: 03a96ed7ae9a4b93acc99b9b2c2662.pamx1.hotmail.com
and priority of 10.
I think the problem is with the SPF TXT record, which requires the following information:
Value: v=spf1 include:hotmail.com ~all Which I also added.
But when sending an email from one foo.com mail user to the another in foo.com I get delivery failure emails.
Has anyone else done this? Have I correctly configured where the MX and SPF TXT records go?
Thanks in Advance.
Cheers!

Re: Outlook.com and NFOServers Domain management
What does the bounce email contain? Does it give a useful error message?
Re: Outlook.com and NFOServers Domain management
The reply is a delivery status notification (failure).
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed.
xxxxxx@foo.com

Usually that's part of an error and the rest is more specific. Is there anything further?
What host is returning that? Is it Hotmail?

That is the only error I get nothing more in my inbox.
Yes, it is outlook.com (hotmail.com).
Thanks in Advance for your help.

And just to confirm, you don't accidentally have accounts listed on the Mail page of the control panel, correct?
If everything's running through Hotmail, you may need to contact them for support here.

Re: Outlook.com and NFOServers Domain management
That is correct. Everything is running through hotmail. No nfoservers mailboxes.
Re: Outlook.com and NFOServers Domain management
Okay, to close on this issue. If the mailbox accounts in a given custom domain for hotmail.com (outlook.com) are not activated in a certain time period. Then the error that you get is invalid mailbox.
After the mailbox is activated then it works fine.
Thanks to all that helped on this thread.
