Missing mysql.dll Please help me asap!

The support ticket told me to come here.
I keep having a problem with mysql I have installed it set it up with my servers as I have done many times before....but for somereason mysql on the vds doesnt wanna work everytime I start a server that has to do with mysql it say mysql.dll error is missing from your server....so please help me!

You need to put libmysql.dll in your servers root foler(same folder as garrysmod).

It is best to get the libmysql.dll that came with your mysql server version.

HOw can I get lib mysql that came with my server version what do you mean...like Im confused a little!

My mistake, you do not need to get one which corresponds to your server version, I was remembering that from something else involving mysql.

You can download libmysql.dll from here: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/c/

The 32-bit ZIP archive is probably the one you want. The DLL will be in the "lib" folder.

OK so I got it and installed on the c drive of the vds but for some reason still when I ban my self I cant see it on the page....

It should be in the folder with srcds.exe.

Have you confirmed it connects to the database? Check your logs to make sure it is working.

Its not in SRCDS..nope but I extracted the software you told me to get and not the installer went and took the file out of there manually and server runs and everything but then crashes after like 2 mins becsaue its connecting to the database and it says restarting ...

Now I got the installer went to its file location and found 2 files I put them in gmod directory and now the server doesnt crash anymore I just still cant see my ban gmadgaming.net/bans

It was just general misconfiguration in this case. We added the VDS IP to his web hosts MySQL whitelist and made sure the configuration files were correct and everything worked great
