is halo going to be shutdown?

I read that gamespy is going to be shutdown,so does that mean is halo also going to be taken of the NFO service and we will not be able to play it anymore?

That will be a sad day, the original Halo is one of my favorite games. Hopefully more titles of that caliber will be made soon.

Yes. The only way you will be able to connect to a server, is if you know the IP and wish to connect directly.

Will any other games be effected that uses gamespy?

We'll have to see. It's possible that someone else will be able to take over serving the games for GameSpy, or that a publisher will be able to convince them to continue.

It seems it is very dependent on the game. Some publishers are going to migrate the services gamespy provides to their own servers, and some others are going to let it go down.
