Re: VDS porblem
That is a normal message from our "Firewall" page.
Does a reboot make a difference for you? If so, please check this: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =47&t=8980.

It seams to be normal , did you want a screenshot ?soja wrote:What is the output of ifconfig? Is your IP address shown there?
Re: VDS porblem
What I was trying to ask: After you reboot, does the system work normally for some period of time?
Yes, post the output to "ifconfig".

Re: VDS porblem

Re: VDS porblem
That is a huge photo and not a screen shot =\.
You should try the ethtool fix, then, definitely. If you don't have ethtool installed, then you can install it through the package manager for your distro -- "apt-get install ethtool" or "yum install ethtool" or "emerge ethtool", for instance.

Re: VDS porblem
Do you see any errors in "dmesg" output?
Have you tried backing up your files and reinstalling the OS?

I want to do that , i will buy a VDS to make a backup , i want windows back , But i cant , i turn on the server and in 3 minutes conexion lost , can you please help me with that ? i have so much important files and Databases on that VDS that i dont have on my PC
Re: VDS porblem
You could try buying a new IP($2) and assign it to the VDS, then see if you can connect with that instead of your original ip.

Re: VDS porblem
So i buy a new ip then ? i added to the IP list then ? how can i use that ip to conect to my MySQL server ?/soja wrote:You could try buying a new IP($2) and assign it to the VDS, then see if you can connect with that instead of your original ip.
Re: VDS porblem
After you assign a new IP to your OS, if you restart MySQL it will bind to all available addresses by default.victoroy wrote:So i buy a new ip then ? i added to the IP list then ? how can i use that ip to conect to my MySQL server ?/soja wrote:You could try buying a new IP($2) and assign it to the VDS, then see if you can connect with that instead of your original ip.
I am not saying it will work for sure, but it is an idea to try, and much cheaper than buying a new VDS to use as a backup.

Re: VDS porblem
My idea is to move all my files and databases to a new VDS , then in this VDS install windows and delete all files , then i will transfer all my files from the Backup VDS to my existing VDSsoja wrote:After you assign a new IP to your OS, if you restart MySQL it will bind to all available addresses by default.victoroy wrote:So i buy a new ip then ? i added to the IP list then ? how can i use that ip to conect to my MySQL server ?/soja wrote:You could try buying a new IP($2) and assign it to the VDS, then see if you can connect with that instead of your original ip.

From what I can understand from your screenshot. Your computer is using internal ip when it should have stated external ip.
Your inet adr should indicate your external ip and not internal. Did you manage to install ethtool ? From what it seems your machine for some reason is not able to take the external ip that is assigned to you.
You got to provide your distro, so we can further try to help you.
