Create a "fake" microphone on windows server 2012?

Post by jpwanabe »

Hi there! I need some help. On my communities windows server 2012 box I am setting up a music bot for out teamspeak. But, the bot won't work if there is no mic installed on the system. I have tried VAC with no luck, it just doesn't seem to work the same way it does on my local machine. And I do have the audio service running on the box.

If any one has some ideas on how to solve this, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd rather not have to install a virtual box on the VDS with windows XP or something.

VAC works, just not over RDP. You'll need to configure and manage it over VNC. I spoke to the developer and he noted he has no plans to have it working over RDP.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

One problem. If I log in though RDP it suddenly makes every thing stop working. Any way to stop that? Or will I have to use VNC to get it back working again?

You could try making a second windows user account to run the music bot, that you would only log into through VNC.
