separate hosting from vps package

Hi,


So i currently have a vps with web hosting in one package, however due to a few changes to how the server is running with the possibility of another person taking on the vps, i would like to move the web hosting package i have that is linked to the vps over to a separate package so if the ownership if the vps does change over i can still retain ownership of the web hosting without having to download/re-upload everything as well as set up databases and everything else again. Is this possible because i cant see an option to do this with the package change option or am i missing something?
