How do I add a little icon that shows next to the name in tabs list to my site?
Hopefully that was clear enough.

Sounds like you are referring to you favicon. You can upload your own to the root directory in your website, or you could use a site like this http://www.favicon.cc/ to make your own or use this page to convert an existing image to one http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/ .
