Shot Registration
Hey guys, I'm not sure if you know, but there's (fairly) widespread rumour that NFO servers have very poor shot registration. I'd completely disregarded this until I actually had a server of yours, which I still have, and fully intend to keep for a good long time
, but now that I have some first hand experience, I've noticed that quite often shots will not register. I am positive that the problem is not in my rate settings, I default them to 101/101/25000 unless I'm getting choke or loss, and adjust accordingly. I am also certain that it is neither my aim (used to be horrible...practiced a lot...much better now
) nor the hitboxes, which are admittedly off kilter in 1.6. My question is simple: Do you know why this occurs, and can anything be done to fix it?
We've occasionally had some people mention shot registration issues but they aren't very widespread. We're not sure what causes this sort of problem but the router in LA seems to have helped, as do some other tweaks such as reducing server plugins.
Which server location is this? And what's your server identifier?

It's on the Hybrid LA connection, no frills 12 man private CS server, and the identifier is narcclan. For our match/scrim tonight it was very intermittent...sometimes it was perfect, every single bullet in a round would register, and sometimes you'd empty a clip and have nothing hit
.
edit: no frills meaning the only mod installed is CS :p

not that I've noticed, it just seems to be random
I wish it happened on a particular map, but I've noticed it on dust, dust2, aztec, inferno, train, and nuke. It also *seems* to occur more often when there are lots of people in the server, as compared to 1v1, but that could just be that usually there's 10 people not 2, or that when you've got 5 targets each bullet matters more. The whole thing has me confused
