I am currently in the market for game servers and was thinking about the vds systems that you offer. I was wondering what all that I would need to run really good fps servers and registration.
I am considering running Tf2 Codition zero Counter strike source and Counter Strike GO at the best I can get them to run.
Not sure what vds package i need

4 core will do it,but just to be on the safe side go for the 6 core option.
You can always try out 4 core package, and upgrade it on the fly if u need more juice.

If you didn't want these to be ran in a managed environment you could likely get away with a two core.

what is the difference between managed and unmanaged I noticed that managed that you don't have to get extra IP addresses.
Re: Not sure what vds package i need
Managed servers get a new IP automatically for each game server you want to host on it.
Here's a post with a good chunk of information for the differences: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =51&t=4559

Re: Not sure what vds package i need
I would go with a managed VDS if your going to be running source games.
Re: Not sure what vds package i need
I didn't really notice a server count in your OP. Your requirements would heavily depend on how many servers you plan on running, and their tickrate.
For example, in your older games running different fps settings would heavily change the CPU requirements. In CS:GO running 128 tick would not be possible on a VDS at high player counts.
A 4-core would be a good option to start out. As you grow you can upgrade without much hassle
