DNS for our domains is a little flakey

Post by reallyoldguysgaming »

Hi,

I have purchased 3 domains to use and have set them up with the nfoserver's DNS in their records at the registrar. I also have set up the domains in the Control Panel as in:
http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =19&t=8227
&
http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 19&t=10842

But the webpages are not loading consistently They load sometimes for me and sometimes not.
www.roggaming.com
www.roggaming.net
www.roggaming.info

The .info seems to work the most, while .net does the least. I have the .net pointing to the same directory as the .com, for now I will change it later.

I also ended up deleting the sub-domain that came with the account thinking it was interfering with the new domain's.

I sent in a trouble ticket with NFOserve and the DNS guy's say their records are right and sent me here.

This is likely happening because you've set another providers name servers on your domain along with ours. Both of those records should be set to NS1/NS2.nfoservers.com.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

What Kraze said; I ran "nslookup -type=ns example.com" (replace example.com with the three domains you listed) using command prompt and all of them reported "slv1.1and1.com" as one of the nameservers.

As stated before nameservers 1 & 2 needs to be "NS1.NFOSERVERS.COM" & "NS2.NFOSERVERS.COM". You cannot have a nameserver from a different host as well.
