.vpk playermodels

Post by Cyan »

i have tried to look through the models folder but all the folders were empty.

when i contacted customer support this is what they said.
You would need to reference the location of the models inside of the .VPK files. You'll need to use some type of .VPK editor to view the files, which falls outside of our scope of support at this time. I would strongly consider making a post on our forums at www.nfoservers.com/forums. There, a community member, off duty support tech or even John, our CEO, would be able to reply with some insight.
can any one teach me how to do this? i would greatly appreciate it.

What kind of model are you trying to use? You can often use tools to extract stuff from VPK's, and then you can use the model files in the more traditional way.

If you are trying to use something from the workshop(.gma), you will need something that can browse the contents of the file, similar to the VPK method. Here is a quick guide I found online for extracting .gma files: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =241297532
