That seems ok, so it's odd you are seeing issues. Have you made any recent changes to your server? Such as adding a new addon/plugin?

We have a good amount of addons, but nothing major.

Here's a recent image of stats when we where having some lagg issue for a couple of seconds.
server is currently holding 40+ people.

You definitely have an issue. your servers tickrate is dropping down to 2 and you have an insane variation. Just as a test, if you disable your content do these issues go away?

Do you mean disable all addons, if i did that i don't think anyone would join the server.

This isn't much of an issue when we have 20-30 players but when it goes up to 40+ it starts to happen.

Not exactly sure what's causing it.

Yes, your server tickrate is dropping down to 3. I'd expect lag to occur when it is that low.

The choke can be solved with these settings:

sv_minrate 100000
sv_maxrate 0
net_splitpacket_maxrate 100000 (or higher, I use the maximum 2048576 for my servers, it doesn't really matter for DarkRP, as long as it is higher than default)

As for the red FPS dips, this can happen because of an addon, or a prop spammer. There are a few props which can be used to instantly lag any server with only ~4 props.

https://github.com/Facepunch/garrysmod- ... /issues/19

"Valve has already dropped the support of -tickrate launch command a lot of time ago."

Here is my settings:
net_maxfilesize 30

sv_minrate 100000
sv_maxrate 0
net_splitpacket_maxrate 100000
decalfrequency 10
sv_maxupdaterate 66
sv_minupdaterate 10

Tickrate is still supported in Garry's Mod.

Change net_maxfilesize to 0

Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry but i am also facing another issue, when i get a lot of people on the server my server runner srcds.exe stops working, and the auto re starter does not restart the server runner.

It gave me a crash file but i don't know how to look into it.

Your last post is there.

Do you already have -nocrashdialog in the command line? This will prevent the popup from showing that says the server stopped working, so any auto restart script can work.

Thanks really useful, i did not know about that command.

Should i lower the tickrate to 22, because it starts lagging when we reach 45+ players.

Thanks you.

You are reaching the upper limits of what a VDS can handle here. Lowering the tickrate to 22 will lower CPU usage and allow you to have more players online at once, but 45-50 players will probably be your maximum players you want to allow.
