Mx Records and have the option to not use www
So i set up mx records so i can use Google to handle my emails with my domain, but doing so i had to use a "@" symbol for the name of the sub domain so i was wondering does this now mean the people have to use "www." to access my website? is there a way around this? It be very helpful is someone could tell me what to do if it is possible.

No, it doesn't force people to use www.

Can you link your domain, and screenshot your domains tab?

Your @-subdomain should probably point to "public" instead of ".".
"." would point to the root of your web directory, while "public" is (most likely) the correct folder.

If you set the target for your @ record to the folder public, does email stop working?

This won't mess with my mx records? that's why i am scared of changing it...

I'm still getting emails, thank you both. I was more worried i would mess it up by doing it on the same thing but it works! thank you so much.

If I remember right, MX records aren't affected by subdomain pointers unless you set the subdomain pointer to a CNAME record.
