Greetings,
So I have an interesting issue that I have been trying to resolve for quite a while.
Whenever I logout of my full machine (running windows server 2008) via remote desktop all the Team Fortress 2 and Gmod servers I am running on it time out for around 5-30 seconds. My Teamspeak 3 server however does not. So the actual connection it self does not seem to be closing on the machine but is effecting the servers in some way.
Several things to note:
I personally have Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
I have a 50meg connection (hardwired).
There are two other users that log into the box and do not cause this issue. Both of which are running the same OS as I am.
This also happened on the Virtual Dedicated Servers we use to rent from NFO before switching to the full machine.
I can only conclude that it is something on my end but I cannot for the life of me figure out what.
Any ideas?
Thanks ahead of time.

Re: TF2 and Gmod connection loss on Full machine after closi
Nevermind about this.
After making this post I decided to do another search online for this issue and actually managed to find the solution this time.
Apparently a while back Microsoft did and update to Remote Desktop to fix some compatibility issues when connecting to a windows 7 system from a windows 8 machine.
The update is labeled KB2830477.
Removed this update and all is well.

Strange stuff! I'm glad that it was fixable and thank you for the follow-up.
I also recommend running the servers as services, using software such as Firedaemon.
