Unable to register COM object

I'm trying to get a COM object installed on my VDS, but it won't install. I am logged into my server using the Admin ID and I am running a program that should register the COM object. When I run that program, I right-click on it and choose the "Run as Administrator" option. The program then attempts to register a COM object, but it keeps reporting that it can't register the COM object and, indeed, it does not show up in DCOMCNFG. Additionally, I'm trying to register it manually with <AppName>.EXE /regserver. I get no error messages, but it does not seem to register. This is a 32-bit app and I've looked in the 32-bit version of DCOMCNFG and the 64-bit version. Is there anything in the VDS setup that prevents me from registering a COM object?
