Teamspeak 3 server

when i click the ts3 server and when i search for the server on the box the ts3 comes up but when me and my group look up the ip the server dose not come up. is this a port problem? if so how do i fix it?

I don't believe the TS3 server browser does lookups based on IP, only name.

even when i do name look up when i try to connect it says failed to connect to server

What is the exact error you see in your client upon connecting the server?

when i connect on my computer it says failed to connect to the server. but when i connect to it on the vds it connects to it just fine

It looks like you are mixing in a few different issues here. Bypassing the server browser entirely and directly connecting using the hostname or IP/port combination, does it work?

no not working. it was working fine until i reset the vds last night could this might be a problem with it port fowarding

We don't block any ports on our end, so nothing would be blocked unless you have the firewall enabled on the VDS.

Do you have your IPs bound to your network adapter so that the server can bind to it? Also what do the TS3 server logs say?

Added inifile="location of TS3 server/ts3server.ini" to your command line for you TS3 server and then start the server. A .ini file will be generated in said location which will have an option to bind to an IP.

Even if the firewall is disabled, it will still block incoming connections by default.

Add the ts3 server exe to the list of exceptions in windows firewall.
