Securing my webhost and webpage

I recently had malware installed on my VDS and i would like to take precaution and secure my website so that it cannot be hacked or attacked. How can i and what do you recommend?

This is what we use and the DDoS attacks and malware attacks and spam have all gone away. Great service and I honestly cant say enough good about them.
