Server freezing when I disconnect from server using RDC

Server freezing when I disconnect from server using RDC

So I recently built a new computer, but I have run into a problem managing my full machine. Every time I disconnect from it using remote desktop connection, the entire box freezes for 5-15 seconds. All of the servers we are running seize up and lose most of their players from this. I was running windows 7 on my last computer but now I am on windows 8.1 waiting on the windows 10 update. Has any one else had this problem and know how to fix it on my end?

No issues here running Windows 8.1 on my pc with my unmanaged dedi or VDS.
