Pretty Frustrated

Post by Dathrick »

Hey guys. so I added the webhosting option onto my VPS which was a great idea, but I'm trying to use wordpress and it's basically hell. When I try to install it, it changes my homepage to my url .com/wordpress or /news or whatever i put, but when i search for my url by itself, it says it does not exist but gives me the folders of my forums and whereever I put wordpress. When I go into wordpress and change the home URL to just my url, it then kicks me out of the admin panel and tells me nothing exists at all... Help please!

If you're just starting out, it would be easiest to wipe the WordPress install (both files and database) and just clear the "If you'd like this installed to a subfolder of the domain, please enter it here (optional)" field as you reinstall it again. This will put it on the subdomain itself and not in a folder of it.
