Location perfect of host

Post by Metrikcz »

Hello, nose if this is the correct forum or if I've spelled everything right, because they do not speak English or nothing, so apologies.

I am Mexican and rented servers counter strike 1.6, here in mexico the best location for supuestamentes servers is Dallas, Texas. that gives me a ping ami 80-90, but today between a server that gave me ping of 50 and up to 20 others, Rastre the ip of the server with a pager on google and I came to is located in Los Angeles, this I went:

66,150,155,159 (nfoservers.com)
Country: United States (US) Area Code: 213 ISP: Internap Network Services Corp ...
City: Los Angeles Zip Code: 90017 Longitude: -118.264198
State: California Metro: Los Angeles, CA Latitude: 34.053001
on Map

The truth table is good and would like to have a town like this have had host in Los Angeles and I'm higher than in Texas ping and said good is because I still farther Los Angeles to Texas but that ip as giving me better ping and performance as you can rent one so

I'm not quite following. Are you wanting to move an existing server to LA or are you wanting to order a server in LA?
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

66.150.155.159 is indeed an IP address in LA. If you receive a ping of 50 there, and a ping of 80 to an example Texas IP address, I'd recommend trying a server in LA first.

You can move your server during the free trial period, if you'd like to try it at multiple locations.

but I still farther Los Angeles where I left Texas, Los Angeles left me more than 500km Texas.

I do not understand esque I have friends who have their server and I get ping Angeles 110-120 but that IP Angels among gives me 50, it has something special that IP or what happens if you have to order something else.

Without more specific information (and traceroutes), I can't tell why you would have a lower latency to LA than Dallas.
